More Drupal Modules for this Blog
I finally set my mind to several things I'd like to blog about, and then I realize I've got this "build-it-yourself" blogging tool called Drupal. I know that I want to insert images into my blog, and I want it to be as simple as WordPress or Blogger. My wife's blog, at http://nothingbetterthanablankpage.blogspot.com, always has pictures in it. Valerie is not tech-savvy but has learned to use pictures to maximum effect. I have used the TinyMCE Editor before and I'm not too thrilled with it, especially when it comes to embedding images within it. My Drupal friend Chad, of Poio design (www.poieodesign.com), helped me recently by replacing the Image Module with ImageField. I found an article today called Top Ten Drupal 6 Modules for Every Site (http://himerus.com/blogs/jake-strawn/ten-drupal-6-modules-every-site) which recommended the following which I installed and configured prior to this post: - FCKeditor - rich text editor http://drupal.org/project/fckeditor - IMCE - for image management. http://drupal.org/project/imce I was about to install these two when I read some more and realized that BUEditor - http://drupal.org/project/bueditor - would allow me to insert or embed an image within a text box, which I think is what I want. For now I will use BUEditor and try FCKEditor later. Here's my test of the uploaded image:
