I recently picked up a Ricoh Theta SC 360 Spherical camera from Amazon for around $200. The camera comes with a great app for my Android phone that let's me setup the camera on a tripod and take the photo remotely via the app. The camera has it's own WIFI hotspot that my phone can connect to in order to remote control the camera and store the output images. The camera takes 360 still images as well as video.
This camera and its output are part of Google's VR (Virtual Reality) View strategy. VR view allows you to embed 360 degree VR media into websites on desktop and mobile, and native apps on Android and iOS. This technology is designed to enable developers of traditional apps to enhance the apps with immersive content.

I am always looking for new ways to tell a story or communicate a message, and there is no doubt that video is a good way to do that.
One of my clients, a regional multi-campus tech school, recently told me that they are using a service called Biteable to make short explanation videos. You can see my first effort below.
Of course, Broadstreet Consulting is a subscriber to Adobe's Creative Cloud software, which includes Adobe Premiere Pro, and we do have the skills to make videos with that, but I thought I would take a look at this light-weight Web-based offering.
I started my company, Broadstreet Consulting, because I had friends with businesses who really needed to be online. The potential to grow their business using the Web was very high, and they wanted to be well positioned for the future.
In many cases my clients have been family businesses, many times with the boss approaching retirement age or at least thinking about it, and thinking about leaving the business to children, or possibly selling out for a comfortable retirement. Many want to pursue other passions outside of work.
In any case, the sustenance of the business was important, and continued growth was important, and so in these cases we began the process that I have started calling “climbing the ladder of Web success”.
If you’re building an online platform, you don’t want to miss my webinar series, The 9 Essentials of Web Success.

When I talk with people about their struggles in building a professional online presence, not knowing where to start and insufficient time come up more frequently than anything else.
I get it. If you do a search on Google for anything related to "Getting started online," you're going to find a million resources who are all very qualified, yet they are going to be telling you completely different things. It makes it extremely difficult to get an answer of where to start, and the time that you hoped to be spending on your online presence gets spent doing research of where to start and what to do next.
After months of preparation, on March 1 we took a new client live on Google AdWords. After 2 weeks, they called us and asked us to almost double the budget.
According to the business manager, this business had already made enough money to cover their AdWords expense. To him, it was clear to see they had been wasting years and tons of money on Yellow Pages. For years, YP.COM had been spending some money on AdWords with very little results and no transparency to what they were doing or what it cost.
